A QUEST FOR BALANCE

Philadelphia glass artist Jeremy Grant-Levine (aka Germ) is going to spend one year blowing no less than 1000 glass cranes. The cranes will then become an immersive installation. One artist, without assistance, on a quest for balance. This project's focus is slow art feeding into a larger vision, a contemporary interpretation of a Japanese tradition.
This is the largest project Jeremy has undertaken in his 13 years of blowing glass. It requires over 200 pounds of hand-colored glass, and over 2 miles of wire hardware for the final installation. The final installation of all 1000 glass cranes will be exhibited in Philadelphia, PA. Dates to be determined.
This project was partially funded with the support of 381 backers through Kickstarter. All reserved cranes will be delivered after the final installation is complete.
Jeremy's work has been displayed in galleries in Seattle, Philadelphia, New York, Miami, and Tel Aviv. He has taught workshops and collaborated with artists all over the world.
